Video INSTRUCTIONS

INTRODUCTION

Welcome everyone! Before we begin, make sure you have installed the Appen Mobile App. https://getperksy.app.link/project-molluca

VIDEO REQUREMENTS (MUST DO’S)

  1. Must be 1-2 minutes in length and include at least 3 types of camera movements (zooming in, panning left, right, up and down).

  2. Must have at least (3) scenes in the video. This could be capturing the performer, capturing the environment, zooming in on something happening.

  3. Must have at least a few seconds of “uninteresting” or dead space. (ex. A shot of grass or the ground before you actually start the main content).

  4. Must have some sort of main content. Imagine you are filming something to share on social media. You might take a video while you see a street performer, are at a concert, or your kids are playing piano at home.

DISQUALIFYING CRITERIA (DON’T DO)

  1. DO NOT film a 1-2 minute stationary scene with nothing happening.

  2. DO NOT film in complete darkness.

  3. DO NOT show other peoples faces.

  4. DO NOT edit or cut the video in any way.

EXAMPLE 1 - PLAYING AN INSTRUMENT

Start.

  1. Film 15 seconds of the floor/ceiling

  2. Have a performer play some sort of instrument at your house.

  3. Pan left (camera movement #1) to look around the room to give an idea of the full environment, while avoiding peoples faces.

  4. Zoom in on the performer (camera movement #2)

  5. Pan down and tap your feet to the performance (camera movement #3).

  6. Give a thumbs up to show you enjoyed the performance.

Finish.

EXAMPLE 2 - A CONCERT, PLAY, OR STREET PERFORMER

Start.

  1. Film 15 seconds of the ground.

  2. Film the performer and zoom in (camera movement #1).

  3. Pan left (camera movement #2), look around at the venue/scene while trying to avoid faces.

  4. Pan right (camera movement #3) to capture the rest of the venue/scene.

  5. Film the performer for the rest of the video

  2. Your Unique PINS located on your consent form.

  3. Performance PINS start with “PFR”. (ex. PFR1234)
