Video INSTRUCTIONS

INTRODUCTION

Welcome everyone! Before we begin, make sure you have installed the Appen Mobile App. https://getperksy.app.link/project-molluca

VIDEO REQUREMENTS (MUST DO’S)

  1. Must be 1-2 minutes in length and include at least 3 types of camera movements (zooming in, panning left, right, up and down).

  2. Must have at least (3) scenes in the video. This could be capturing yourself walking, capturing the environment, zooming in on something happening.

  3. Must have at least a few seconds of “uninteresting” or dead space. (ex. A shot of grass or the ground before you actually start the main content).

  4. Must have some sort of main content. Imagine you are filming something to share on social media. You might take a video while you are walking towards a venue or after you sit down at a restaurant/bar.

DISQUALIFYING CRITERIA (DON’T DO)

  1. DO NOT film a 1-2 minute stationary scene with nothing happening.

  2. DO NOT film in complete darkness.

  3. DO NOT show other peoples faces.

  4. DO NOT edit or cut the video in any way.

EXAMPLE 1 - ARRIVING AT YOUR DESTINATION

Start.

  1. Film yourself walking before you arrive at your destination.

  2. Film 15 seconds of the floor/ground before you arrive.

  3. Pan upwards (camera movement #1) to the venue you are about to arrive at.

  4. Pan left (camera movement #2), look around at the parking lot or wherever you are to capture the scene.

  5. Zoom in (camera movement #3) on something interesting, maybe another venue or a decoration.

  6. Pan back to your destination and give a thumbs up to indicate you are going there.

Finish.

EXAMPLE 2 - ONCE AT YOUR DESTINATION

Start.

  1. Film 15 seconds of the ground.

  2. Film the scene (camera movement #1) once you are situated. Maybe sitting at a table with significant other/friends, but avoid faces.

  3. Pan down (camera movement #2) to look at a menu or any decorations around the table.

  4. Pan down to look at your clothes, purse or wallet. Pan back up (camera movement #3) and cheers your beverages.

  5. High five your significant other or friends.
